Vicente Conculini, Yamandu Martinez and Miguel Silio began their journey in Argentina in August 2025. They spent the past 10 months traveling across South America to the US to participate in the biggest football tournament on the planet.
According to Argentine media, these three people cycled about 160km per day, carrying 36kg of luggage. Vicente Conculini, Yamandu Martinez and Miguel Silio started planning for the trip from 2022, after the Argentine team won the World Cup in Qatar.
The trio encountered a prominent problem throughout the journey: They did not have tickets to watch Argentina's opening match on June 16 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. However, Silio shared with local media that he still believed they would be able to go to the stadium to watch the match live.
I believe that on the match day, we will be able to enter the stadium," Silio said. Silio also cycled to watch the 2018 and 2022 World Cups and also had tickets to watch the matches at the last minute.
In 2018, Silio cycled from Madrid to Moscow to watch the World Cup in Russia, and in 2022, he traveled from Madrid to Qatar.
Sharing after arriving in Kansas City, Conculini said: "Thank you everyone for coming. We are really very grateful for this. I don't know, after ten months, today is the last day. 10,500 miles, 17 countries. I think we have arrived.
After these three special fans arrived in Kansas, they received support from local non-profit organizations.
Conculini said they hope to meet the Argentine national team and can "greet, take pictures, or ask for autographs" from the players.
At the 2026 World Cup, Argentina is in Group J with Austria, Jordan and Algeria. They will begin their journey to defend the championship with a match against Algeria on June 16 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
