Guidance for Trade Union activities
On June 4, directly attending and following the opening session of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, many union members and officials of Thanh Hoa Trade Union realized that the directing speeches of General Secretary and President To Lam at the opening session were the guiding principle for Trade Union activities.
Directly attending the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Tron - Chairman of the Trade Union of Annora Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd. expressed: "The directions of the General Secretary and President are an action map for grassroots trade unions. We are even more deeply aware that the effectiveness of the Trade Union is not measured by the number of movements or documents, but rather the trust of union members and the satisfaction of workers. This is a vital measure for us to reflect on ourselves and strive for.
Grassroots Trade Union officials in Thanh Hoa expressed that the highlight in the speech of General Secretary and President To Lam is the requirement that grassroots Trade Unions must truly become an important destination, where workers come to when encountering problems with contracts, salaries, insurance, labor safety and daily life.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Sunjade Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd. - said: "Previously, many places only considered grassroots trade unions as places to organize movements, but now it can be clearly seen that the task of protecting the direct rights of workers is the core. That is also the sacred responsibility of each Trade Union official. We have been and are striving to do this task best every day. The directions of the General Secretary and President help us have more confidence and motivation for workers.
The support of workers
Not only stopping at theory, Thanh Hoa Trade Union officials believe that improving collective bargaining capacity, dialogue at the workplace and preventing disputes from the grassroots level is an urgent requirement.
Ms. Trinh Thi Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - shared: "When we listen to workers, resolve conflicts as soon as they arise, many seemingly complex issues have been resolved promptly, avoiding breaking out into hot spots. The speech of the General Secretary and President clearly pointed out the reality and is an important reminder for us to work more proactively and responsibly.
Many Trade Union officials also expressed their determination to improve their professional qualifications and digital skills, especially understanding labor laws, organizational management, digital communication and crisis handling skills.

Trade union officials must be people with heart, vision and bravery, know how to persuade, and at the same time become a reliable bridge between employees and businesses, helping each employee feel secure and trust in the Trade Union organization.
Through the speech of the General Secretary and President, union members and officials of Thanh Hoa Trade Union clearly realize that the role of the Trade Union is not only to operate administratively or organize movements, but must be linked to the actual life, rights and development of workers.
