Ousmane Dembele scored 35 goals and had 16 assists in 53 appearances, helping Paris St-Germain win the Champions League for the first time, and also won a historic treble, along with Ligue 1 and Coupe de France.
PSG even reached the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final, only losing to Chelsea in the US. Dembele received the award at the Theatre du Chatelet Theater (Paris), where he was moved to thank PSG, coach Luis Enrique and his teammates.
"Thank you everyone. What just happened is unbelievable, I can't speak. This has been a great season for PSG, although it has been very difficult at times.
Receiving this trophy from Ronaldinho is extremely special. I would like to thank PSG for trusting and signing me in 2023. The president, the whole team and the whole club have treated me like a family since the very first day" - the French star said.
Joining PSG in 2023 for 50 million Euros after 6 incomplete seasons at Barcelona, Dembele quickly became a key factor. Especially since Kylian Mbappe moved to Real Madrid, Dembele has often been arranged to play as a center forward and has shined brilliantly at PSG.
Dembele's biggest opponent is Lamine Yamal (18 years old), who contributed greatly to Barcelona's treble (La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup). Previously, in the gala, Yamal was awarded the Kopa Trophy for the best U21 player.
Therefore, Yamal did not seem too sad, even though he only received the Silver Ball. Vitinha won the bronze ball. The remaining positions belong to Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Raphinha (Barcelona), Achraf Hakimi (PSG), Mbappe (Real Madrid), Cole Palmer (Ch Chelsea), Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG) and Nuno Mendes (PSG).
In the women's category, Aitana Bonmati continued to dominate when winning the third consecutive Ballon d'Or, equal to Lionel Messi and Michel platini in the number of consecutive crowns. Bonmati's teammate Vicky Lopez was also honored in the U21 Women's Player of the Year award.
