German Football Federation Sports Director confident of championship team
At a press conference recently held when the German team gathered, German Football Federation (DFB) sporting director Rudi Voller affirmed that the whole team is extremely confident when playing at home.
"The turning point in our development process is the last two friendly matches in March. We have realized that, after more than 3 months under the leadership of Nagelsmann, we have had two convincing victories and more optimism.
The confidence is huge. We don't need to worry too much because everything is fine now, but we should be a certain optimism."
Spain team announces lineup
Preparing for EURO 2024, coach Luis de la Fuente has announced a preliminary list of 29 players. Barcelona youngster Fermin Lopez has been called up to the national team for the first time. Other Barcelona stars include Pau Cubarsi, Lamine Yamal, Pedri and Ferrran Torres.
In addition, Premier League stars Rodri, David Raya and Marc Cucurella are all named but Tottenham defender Pedro Porro is absent. The list is currently controversial, especially the form of players like Cucurella, Laporte... or the elimination of Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid.
Germany practices in front of 15,000 fans
Germany has started training for EURO 2024 in front of 15,000 fans in the central town of Jena. In addition, more than 16,000 people watched the team's live training video. This means that fans are extremely excited when the tournament is held in their hometown this year.
Three weeks before the opening match against Scotland in Munich, Germany's headquarters began a vibrant training session with some team members absent due to being busy competing at clubs, with only 19 out of 27 members in the team present.
Leroy Sane is injured, Jamal Musiala, Aleksandar Pavlovic and David Raum have not participated in all training sessions. After practicing, the players stayed, signed autographs and took photos with the fans.
