Coach Cklamovski praises the fighting spirit of the Malaysian team

NGUYỄN ĐĂNG |

Mr. Peter Cklamovski of the Malaysian team praised the players for their high fighting spirit, when they came back to defeat the Laos team with a score of 5-1.

The Australian coach said that all the players put on the field fought their best to ensure Harimau Malaya (the nickname of the Malaysian team) won all three points at home.

"The Laos team created a good challenge, they also played well, so we need to be patient and believe in our playing style. The Malaysian team did not play very well in the first half.

The Laos team also tried their best to play against us. But the Malaysian players came back spectacularly and showed their best performance, Cklamovski said after the match.

Before that, Harimau Malaya had a worried moment when they let Laos take a 1-0 lead after the first half. But in the second half, the Malaysian team scored a run of 5 goals, starting with Faisal Halim's goal, a double from Romel Morales, an own goal from a Lao player and a Harimau Malaya night ended with Paolo Josue's goal.

Meanwhile, Laos coach Ha Hyeok-jun acknowledged the quality of the Malaysian team. He emphasized that the Malaysian team is superior to the Lao team in every aspect. We felt we were playing up to the plan in the first half. But in the second half, the spirit and concentration were gone when we lost 1-5.

I believe that the players of the Laos team are improving with each match, but compared to the Malaysia team, they are clearly of higher quality, said coach Ha Hyeok-jun.

This victory has strengthened Malaysia's leading position in Group F with 12 points, three points more than the main opponent, Vietnam.

According to the schedule, Malaysia will play the next match against Nepal away on November 18. They will close the qualifying round by playing away at the Vietnam national team on March 31, 2026.
