Malaysia beat Laos 5-1 after returning home to play the fourth match of the 2027 Asian Cup final qualifiers.

On the evening of October 14, the Malaysian team hosted Laos at home in the second leg of the 2027 Asian Cup final qualifiers.

From the first minutes, Malaysia pushed up their formation, imposed the game and created continuous pressure, causing Laos to retreat deep to defend. A typical example was the situation in the 11th minute, Dion Cools took a difficult free kick, the ball hit the ground, confusing the Lao goalkeeper.

In the 65th and 70th minutes, Morales coordinated well with his teammates before scoring two consecutive goals to increase the score to 3-1 for the home team.

In the 79th minute, Thapaseut and goalkeeper Lokphathip's misunderstanding caused Laos to concede the 4th goal. Three minutes later, Paulo finished to help Malaysia seal a 5-1 victory. This result helps them continue to maintain their top position in Group F of the Asian Cup qualifiers after 4 matches.
