On the evening of October 9, the leader of the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune (Quang Tri province) confirmed that he had received a request for help from Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue - Vice Principal and Head of the Boarding kitchen of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.
According to the information, the rescue petition was directly brought by Ms. Hue's husband to the Commune People's Committee.The specific content of the petition has not been disclosed, but the commune leader said that there are many complicated details that need to be carefully considered.
Currently, the Commune People's Committee has assigned a specialized department to research and advise on the handling direction according to regulations.
According to the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune, up to now, Ms. Hue has not come to work with the authorities even though she has been invited to discuss issues related to the incident. The family informed her that she was sick and had to be hospitalized for treatment.
On the same morning, the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune met with relevant departments and branches including Health, Education and Home Affairs to discuss how to handle the suspected food poisoning case that occurred at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.
The Commune People's Committee is comprehensively reviewing, and will handle the violation to that extent. If Ms. Hue is absent, the commune will still base on the test results of the Food Safety and Hygiene Department to have a suitable handling direction.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on September 26, 40 students of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities were hospitalized after a breakfast suspected of food poisoning. Currently, their health is stable, but the incident is still being clarified by the authorities.
