Arsenal will face PSG in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final in the early morning of May 8.
In a pre-match interview with ESPN, coach Mikel Arteta expressed his anticipation and excitement:
"The excitement, the skin and the look, we have prepared very carefully, we are very confident and know that the opportunity is to play in the Champions League final. And to achieve that goal, you must sacrifice your whole life for it".
The North London team will welcome midfielder Thomas Partey back on his trip to Paris after suspension. However, they still do not have many other stars due to long-term injuries.
When asked about the missing squad, Mr. Arteta said: "We have a lot of injuries but the games are very, very close together, not in our interest. But I'm still very optimistic because I see the way the starting lineup fights."
PSG have beaten two English sides in the knockout round of the Champions League this season. They defeated Premier League champions Liverpool in the round of 16 before defeating Aston Villa in the quarter-finals. It will not be easy for Arsenal to come back against the French representative in the enthusiastic atmosphere at the Parc des Princes.
