Spain coach: Players need to focus more on the final match

Spain will face England in the EURO 2024 final at the Berlin Olympic Stadium. This is the stadium where the Spanish team achieved good results when defeating Croatia 3-0 in the opening match.

"Last time playing here, we talked about getting back and we did it. However, this was the match between the two teams' best. The most important thing is to control emotions, play with concentration and not make mistakes.

What I think about right now is how the students play well in the final match. They are very excited and that is the result of their tireless work. That is a wonderful thing for the present and the future. Dedicating myself to Spain is truly wonderful. Of course, my players need to improve and focus more. We have to find our own strength to have a chance to win," said Spanish coach De La Fuente.

"In my squad, there are many players who have played in the Champions League, Europa League finals or youth tournaments. However, the EURO final is completely different. I remember correctly that only Jesus Navas could do that. He also admits the difference. I want students to enjoy this feeling. This could be an unforgettable memory in the player's life when standing at the top of Europe," the Spanish coach added.

Regarding the opponents in the final, coach De La Fuente commented: "The match will probably be very balanced. England are very strong and can make a turning point at any time. They will definitely bring the best version. We need to understand their strength and try to play better.

I know Spain is rated higher. My team is excited. But the players need to try harder. We will take the field with the highest respect for our opponents and focus on winning."
