Al Nassr are on a 7-game unbeaten run since the start of the season. Cristiano Ronaldo has also contributed 5 goals in the Saudi Pro League so far. He is expected to continue to shine as he is currently 4 goals behind the top scorer.
This is a good sign as they have just appointed new coach Stefano Pioli to replace Luis Castro who was sacked in mid-September. So far, Pioli has won all 5 matches since taking over. After a slow start to the season, Al Nassr have started to accelerate.
On the other hand, Al Shabab finished 8th last season. They just appointed coach Vitor Pereira in early February 2024 and his efforts helped the club have an impressive second half of the season.
This season, Al Shabab lost their opening match to Al-Ettifaq but won four consecutive matches against Al Khaleej, Al Qadisiyah, Al Taawoun and Al Raed. The winning streak helped Al Shabab climb straight into the top four.
Al Shabab's problem now lies in finishing as they have only scored 5 goals after 6 rounds in the Saudi Pro League.
