According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Bach Long Vy island district has strong winds of level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 9; Con Co island has strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 8; Truong Sa island has gusts of level 8, Song Tu Tay island has gusts of level 7, Phu Quy island has winds of level 6.
On the night of October 29 and October 30, the Gulf of Tonkin, Quang Tri, and the western sea area of the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago) will have strong winds of level 6, sometimes level 7 at night, gusting to level 8-9. The sea will be rough, with waves 2-4m high.
The eastern sea area of the North East Sea has strong winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9; from the afternoon of October 30, the northern sea area has winds gradually increasing to level 7-8, gusting to level 9-10. The sea is rough, with waves 3-5m high.
The sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ninh Thuan; the central East Sea area has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Rough sea, waves from 2 - 4m high.
The sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, the sea area west of the South China Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago) has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Rough sea, waves from 2 - 3m high.
Gulf of Tonkin, the western sea area of the North and Central East Sea (including the sea area of Hoang Sa archipelago); the sea area from Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
On the night of October 30 and October 31, the northeastern sea area of the North East Sea will have strong northeast to north winds at level 7-8, then increase to level 9-10, gusting to level 12; very rough seas; waves 4-6m high.
The area from Quang Ngai to Ninh Thuan, the west of the North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago), the area between the East Sea and the northern sea of the South East Sea area (including Truong Sa archipelago) has strong winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas; waves from 2 - 3.5m high.
All vessels operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by cyclones, strong winds and large waves.
