As of June 17, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 has attracted more than 340,000 spectators to watch the first 8 matches. Moreover, FIFA has sold nearly 1.5 million tickets for this year's tournament to fans from more than 130 countries around the world. With the most exciting matches in the group stage not yet taking place, FIFA is confident that the audience will be more crowded.
According to statistics, in the opening match between Inter Miami vs Al Ahly, there were 60,927 spectators coming to hard Rock Stadium. After that, the PSG vs Atletico Madrid match also attracted 80,619 people to Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.
However, not every match attracts a large audience. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said he felt strange playing on a rather empty pitch. In Chelsea's win over Los Angeles FC, there were only over 22,000 spectators coming to the stadium, while the stadium's capacity reached over 71,000 seats.
"This is exactly the goal that the FIFA Club World Cup is aiming for: a world-class stage where new stories are told, new heroes appear and club football fans feel they are part of something greater.
FIFA is proud of the unique and multicultural atmosphere as well as the support that this new tournament has created. We also thank all fans for bringing their voice, passion and presence as the FIFA Club World Cup continues to develop into an undeniable pinnacle of global club football," FIFA President Gianni Infantino shared.
According to FIFA, the US has the largest number of players buying tickets to watch matches, followed by Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, France, Japan, Germany, the UK and Portugal.
Among the remaining group stage matches, the most sought-after tickets include the matches of Real Madrid CF vs CF Pachuca, Al Hilal vs FC Salzburg, Boca juniors vs Bayern Munich and Flamengo vs Chelsea. Each of these matches is now expected to attract more than 50,000 fans.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will end on July 13 after the final match. The champion team will receive $40 million.
