The new stadium, which is expected to become the UK's largest football stadium, will serve as a catalyst for the reconstruction of the surrounding area, helping to create one of the most dynamic and important sports and entertainment destinations in the world.
The club bought a 25-acre plot of land, located about 350m northwest of the current stadium, from Indurent, a leading supplier of industrial space and a Blackstone investment portfolio. Man United will directly work with businesses affected by this plan to support them in the transition phase.
We are committed to building a world-class stadium with fans, not just for them, with atmosphere, affordable prices and accessibility being the central factors in our thinking," Collette Roche, Man United's new stadium development project CEO, said in a statement.
The club has also cooperated closely with the Trafford Council and the Old Trafford Reconstruction Market Development Corporation (OTRMDC) to ensure the location of the new stadium fits the strategy of rebuilding the larger Old Trafford, ensuring optimal connectivity and the best possible experience for fans.

This 370-acre regeneration project is expected to provide about 15,000 new homes, including affordable housing, creating 48,000 new jobs locally and more than 9,000 jobs nationwide, and contributing more than £7 billion per year to the UK economy.
Last year, Man United announced plans to build the stadium worth 2 billion pounds (2.65 billion USD), the largest stadium in England, next to the current Old Trafford stadium. The expected completion time of the project is 5 years. However, it is likely that costs will increase due to delays and prolonged disputes related to land prices.
Old Trafford has been Man United's home ground since 1910. Once considered the "theater of dreams" and the leading football stadium in England, Old Trafford has now been surpassed by many other modern stadiums, with many problems such as roof leaks, incomplete drainage system and the appearance of mice.
OTRMDC will announce its vision for recreating Old Trafford on Thursday, July 9, along with more detailed information about the stadium construction site and official consultation time.
