For the first time since April 2018, Man City have lost three consecutive matches. Coach Pep Guardiola did not appear too worried, but the truth is that the Citizens are reeling after a week of consecutive losses in three different arenas.
Their unbeaten runs in the Premier League (32) and Champions League (26) have come to an end, but Guardiola has insisted he is up for the challenge. They have dropped to second in the table, two points behind Liverpool.
Man City's squad is in a serious crisis. The weakness in the defense is also becoming more obvious, but there is reason for The Citizens to be optimistic when traveling to Brighton's field. In the last 14 encounters, City has only lost to this opponent once (won 12, drew 1).
On the other side, Brighton also had a pretty good start, losing only 2 matches in the Premier League. Coach Fabian Hurzeler and his team are currently ranked 8th on the rankings, but only 3 points behind the top 3.
Brighton's problem may be that they don't know how to hold on to their advantage. They have dropped a total of 10 points from a winning position in the Premier League this season, four of which have come in reverse defeats to Big Six sides Liverpool and Chelsea.
The Seagulls are unbeaten in five games at the Amex this season, but extending that run against Man City will not be easy, having lost 4-0 at home to the reigning champions last season.
