Nicolas Jackson is making things difficult for himself at Chelsea

HƯNG TÌNH |

After Nicolas Jackson made a mistake that cost Chelsea Flamengo at the Club World Cup, the striker was criticised by former player John Obi Mikel.

In the second match of Group D of the FIFA Club World Cup, Chelsea faced Flamengo. They took an early lead thanks to Pedro Neto, but then let their opponent South America come back to win 3-1. This result has left The Blues temporarily ranked 2nd in the group, with 3 points after 2 matches.

In addition to losing, Chelsea also showed a black spot with a red card from striker Nicolas Jackson. Commissioned in the 68th minute as Chelsea were trailing 1-2, replacing Delap, Jackson clashed with Ayrton Lucas and was sent off after just four minutes. Playing with one less player in the last 20 minutes caused the England team to concede another goal.

Former player John Obi Mikel could not hide his disappointment with Jackson: Its unbelievable. A very silly mistake. The team is falling behind, everyone needs you. And you go in to do that? He did it once and now he's doing it again."

That was not the first time the Senegalese striker had lost control. In May, he was also sent off for an important match against Newcastle, a match that almost affected Chelsea's ticket to the Champions League.

Going further, Mikel believes Nicolas Jackson's position is under threat from Delap. He continued to warn the Senegalese striker: He may be angry because Delap has come and become a competitor. We need players who are brave and accept that.

If Jackson can't stand the competition, he shouldn't stay at Chelsea. This is a big club and we only care about the title.
