Festival honors revolutionary journalism tradition
This morning (6.19), at the National Parliamentary Council Center (Hanoi), the National Newspaper Association in 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese Press - Loyalty, Creativity, bravery, Innovation for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland" opened, attracting great attention from many press agencies across the country and the public.
According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Steering Committee of the National Newspaper Association 2025: This year's Newspaper Association is of great significance, marking the 100th anniversary of the formation and development of Vietnam's revolutionary press.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh said that the organization work was carefully prepared, the activities within the framework of the Press Association ensured a full representation of the identity of Vietnamese journalism from traditional to modern, creative on the basis of inheriting and continuing history, the content must be attractive, highlighting the great achievements and contributions of the press in the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
This year's National Newspaper Association brings together more than 80 central and local press units to participate, with nearly 130 exhibition booths of outstanding journalism of newspapers and magazines.
Many press agencies will present multi-platform press products, applying new technologies such as AI, 3D modeling, holofan, virtual reality...
In particular, for the first time, a space to display press history was organized with in-depth and elaborate content at the Newspaper Association, chaired by the Vietnam Press Museum.
Another highlight is the space for the thematic exhibition "100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press: Achievements and development trends in the new era" of key press agencies such as Nhan Dan Newspaper, VTV, VOV, VNA, the Army and Police press...
On this occasion, the Ministry of Science and Technology also held a special stamp issuance ceremony on the occasion of "Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day".
Future orientation
Also within the framework of the National Newspaper Association in 2025, the Vietnam Journalists Association continues to organize the 2nd National Journalism Forum including 12 discussion sessions, with many practical contents, associated with the top concerns of the Vietnamese press.
These include many outstanding topics such as: Vietnamese journalism in the new era - Vision to create development space; Female leadership in journalism - Voice of women in news management; Conquering Gen Z readers - Decoding successful formula; Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation strategies of Vietnamese journalism houses; Data journalism at Vietnamese news agencies;...
These issues are not only topical but also a challenge for news agencies in the context of explosive digital communication, technology deeply affecting content production and the public's habit of receiving information.
The 2025 National Newspaper Association will be a highlight of the spirit of innovation, creativity, and comprehensive vision with many impressive exhibition activities, rich and practical professional activities, and unique cultural and artistic programs.
This is not only a great festival for the press world nationwide but also an opportunity for journalists to review the glorious and proud tradition; worthy of honoring the achievements, contributions and silent sacrifices of journalists over the past century, from the first pages of newspapers serving the revolution to modern multimedia press products contributing to the construction and development of the country today.
