In the early morning of February 23 (Vietnam time), Chelsea visited Aston Villa in round 26 of the Premier League. Chelsea started smoothly when Enzo Fernandez finished close to the goal after Pedro Neto's delicate assist, opening the scoring in the 9th minute.
Villa tried to find an equalizer throughout the first half but all opportunities were denied. In the second half, coach Unai Emery decided to bring Rashford onto the field from the bench to strengthen the attack.
That change was rewarded, when in the 57th minute, Rashford pushed the ball into the penalty area for Asensio to score beautifully. Initially, the goal was canceled due to an offside error, but the referee recognized it after reviewing VAR.
Palmer had a chance to help Chelsea take the lead, but stumbled, allowing defender Ezri Konsa to intervene.

In the 89th minute, Rashford had a second assist for Asensio who shot with his left foot from the middle of the penalty area, sealing Villa's score of 2-1. The home side have taken 18 points from behind in the Premier League this season, more than any other side.
The brilliance of Asensio and Rashford helped them rise to 7th place in the rankings, only 2 points behind the top 4. Chelsea are immediately above Villa with 1 point more. The race for tickets to the European Cup is even more dramatic as the gap between the top 4-9 team is very narrow.
