Ronaldo, 41, has not played in the last two matches for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Arabian National League (SPL), when the team defeated Al Ittihad and Al Riyadh.
But according to international sources, the Portuguese star will decide to return to play for Al-Nassr in the match against Al Fateh on February 14. 2. Saudi Arabia club also hopes Ronaldo will play against Arkadag of Turkmenistan in the quarter-final match of the AFC Champions League Two in the middle of this week.
Ronaldo decided not to play 2 matches at SPL because he was not satisfied with PIF (National Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia) because of the fund's support for his club in the transfer window.
Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli are all owned by the majority of PIF. However, in the recent transfer window, Al-Nassr was not strengthened by any notable stars. Conversely, Al-Hilal, a team that owns 75% of PIF, successfully recruited Karim Benzema - Ronaldo's former teammate at Real Madrid.
According to sources, Ronaldo has agreed to return to the pitch after his main requests were met by PIF. Accordingly, PIF leaders will fully pay Al-Nassr's outstanding salary and restore management autonomy to senior club leaders.
With this new move, Simao Coutinho (sports director) and Jose Semedo (CEO), who were suspended from their positions by PIF, have restored their authority at Al-Nassr.
As of this point in the season, Ronaldo has played 22 matches for Al-Nassr, scored 18 goals and had 3 assists. Currently, Al Nassr is second in the SPL league, only one point behind traditional opponent Al Hilal.
