The match against Ipswich Town marked the debut of coach Ruben Amorim to the Red Devils fans. Traveling to Portman Road, the Manchester team had a favorable start with a goal in the 2nd minute through Marcus Rashford.
But the visitors failed to maintain their advantage and Ipswich Town rose up, controlled the ball more, created many clear chances and equalized with a beautiful curling shot from Omari Hutchinson in the 43rd minute.
This draw leaves Man United stuck in 12th place on the table with 16 points, 7 points away from the relegation zone.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Roy Keane frankly criticized his old team:
“Whatever is going on with Manchester United, they are a mid-table team. There is a lot of work to be done with Manchester United. It is a huge job for the manager. We have said it many times but hopefully this time it will be resolved.
"Same players, same problems. They can't score and lack quality. Look at Ipswich, they haven't won a single home game but they're playing better."
The legend also shared about Man United's ability to finish in the top 4: "If you ask me if I believe these players will bring the team into the top 4? I would say no, there is no effort or evidence for that."
Man United's next two matches will see them face Bodo/Glint in the Europa League (28.11) and Everton (1.12) in the Premier League at Old Trafford.
