Chelsea completes Liam Delap deal
Chelsea have completed a £30 million contract with Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
The 22-year-old has signed a contract with the Stamford Bridge side until 2031. Chelsea paid £30 million to release Delap, which was triggered after Ipswich were relegated.
The Blues have surpassed both Manchester United and Newcastle to get the service of this striker.
The Englishman shared on Chelsea's official website: "I understand the position of this club, and I can see Chelsea's direction with current players and head coaches.
This will be a great place for me to develop. I hope to achieve great things here and help the club win more trophies."

Man City successfully recruits Tijjani Reijnders
Manchester City has agreed to sign a £46.3 million contract with AC Milan in exchange for the services of Tijjani Reijnders. Reijnders is expected to sign a 5-year contract at the Etihad.
Reijnders had the most goals and assists among the midfielders in Serie A last season. He was a shining light in Milan's disappointing season, when they were only 8th in Serie A and did not have a ticket to the European Cup.
The 26-year-old joined San Siro from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2023. With 15 goals in the 2024-2025 season, Reijnders will strengthen Pep Guardiola's midfield options after the departure of Kevin De Bruyne.
Liverpool get closer to Milos Kerkez
Liverpool are increasingly confident that they can sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. The south coastal club of England has offered a fee of around £40 million for the 21-year-old left-back, who has three years left on his contract.
According to British media, Kerkez is very eager to move to Anfield and his personal terms are not expected to be a problem.
The Hungarian defender has been one of Bournemouth's standouts this season and Liverpool have been eyeing him for a long time.
Liverpool are eager to renew their options at left-back as Andy Robertson is now 31 years old and is entering the final year of his contract. Meanwhile, Kostas Tsimikas have rarely played in the Premier League in the past 2 seasons.
The Kop sporting director Richard Hughes, who led the negotiations, has long supported Kerkez and brought him to Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in 2023.
Arsenal part ways with 17 players
Arsenal announced that 17 players will leave the team when their contracts expire in the summer of 2025, including 4 names in the first team.
Notably, the first-team group to have to leave is Jorginho, a midfielder who won the Champions League with Chelsea and then joined Arsenal in January 2023. The Italian player reached an agreement to join Flamengo from next season.
Another veteran leaving the Emirates is Kieran Tierney, the Scots left-back who joined Arsenal from Celtic in 2019. Tierney has been on loan to Real Sociedad for the 2023-24 season, and has failed to challenge for a position when he returned to the Emirates last season.
Some other transfer rumors:
- Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham has agreed to sign a 5-year contract with Dortmund, but the transfer fee has not been confirmed.
- Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal said MLS was one of the potential destinations when he left the club.
The 33-year-old defender - who missed most of last season with a serious knee injury - has a contract until 2026. However, his position will be threatened by the arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
- Chelsea will only agree to sell winger Noni Madueke if they receive undeniable offers. Meanwhile, striker Raheem Sterling is expected to leave the club after returning from his loan spell at Arsenal.
- Santos are in the process of negotiating to extend Neymar's contract until June 2026. The Brazilian striker returned to Santos in January this year. His current contract expires this month.
Santos president Marcelo Teixeira met Neymar, as well as his father and agent, to discuss the possibility of extending his contract.
