Manchester United are considering offers for centre-back Harry Maguire in January. The Red Devils are even willing to sell their former captain for just £10 million.
Maguire has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Erik ten Hag in the last two seasons, leading to speculation linking him with a move away.
About a year ago, the 31-year-old player was valued at 30 million pounds. However, currently, Maguire's value has decreased dramatically.
The England centre-back forced his way back into Ten Hag's side last season, despite being stripped of the captaincy. The former Leicester man made 18 Premier League appearances to help the club overcome an injury crisis.
Maguire has made three Premier League appearances and two cup appearances this season, but United have signed Matthjis de Ligt this summer to partner Lisandro Martinez.
Maguire - who rejected a move to West Ham last year - has also struggled with injuries, suffering groin and muscle problems last season and the 31-year-old was ultimately left out of England's Euro 2024 squad.
Maguire has also struggled with fitness this campaign, having been forced off in United's 0-0 draw with Aston Villa. Once he has recovered from his latest injury, the centre-back is no longer a priority for Ten Hag and could be on the move.
The Red Devils spent £80m to sign Maguire from Leicester in 2019. The England centre-back was trusted to wear the captain's armband and made a total of 215 appearances. However, he was often criticised for silly defensive errors.
Maguire recently scored a crucial goal for Man United in the 3-3 draw with Porto in the Europa League. The England international will clearly be disappointed to have his season interrupted. Maguire started the most recent Premier League game against Aston Villa.
Speaking about his latest injury, Maguire shared on social media: "Disappointed to get injured at the weekend, I will be out for a few weeks but I will come back stronger."
If they fail to find a new club for Maguire, Man United will activate the option to extend the defender's contract for another year, thereby allowing them to earn some money when they sell Maguire next summer.
