7 teams compete in the 2026 National Women's Football Championship

The 2026 National Women's Football Championship will take place in 2 legs with a home-away format.

On May 20, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Football Federation held a ceremony to announce the main sponsor and draw the schedule for the National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup 2026.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - General Secretary of VFF said: "Today, we express our pleasure to announce that Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Co., Ltd. continues to be the main sponsor at the 2026 National Football Championship.

This year also marks the 15th consecutive year Thai Son Bac has accompanied the tournament, showing sustainability, responsibility and full enthusiasm for national women's football".

The 2026 National Women's Football Championship has 7 participating teams, including: Hanoi I, Hanoi II, Thai Nguyen T&T, Vietnam Coal and Minerals, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I and Ho Chi Minh City II.

According to the format, teams compete in a round-robin format of 2 legs (home and away) in localities to calculate points and overall rankings. In which, the first leg will start from June 20 to July 19, 2026 and the second leg will take place from July 23 to August 21, 2026.

Notably, the champion at this year's tournament will represent Vietnam to participate in the Asian Women's Club Championship (AFC Women's Champions League) season 2027-2028.
