Meanwhile, a surprise occurred in the later match when U17 Indonesia lost 0-1 to U17 Malaysia. Previously, in the opening match, the island nation team also only defeated Timor Leste with a score of 4-0.
With these results, U17 Vietnam rose to the top of Group A with 6 points and a goal difference of +14.
Meanwhile, U17 Malaysia is temporarily ranked second in the group with 3 points (scoring -3) and U17 Indonesia is ranked 3rd with 3 points (scoring +3). Malaysia is ranked above Indonesia because head-to-head indicators are prioritized.
