Many communes pay land clearance support money
On the afternoon of April 16, the compensation and site clearance support payment for the Olympic Sports Urban Area project continued at the Ta Thanh Oai village cultural house (Dai Thanh commune, Hanoi). Accordingly, 45 households in Ta Thanh Oai village received compensation with a total payment of 76.6 billion VND.
According to the plan, in the afternoon of April 17, the work of paying compensation and support for site clearance (GPMB) for the project will be implemented in Thuong Phuc village; morning of April 18 in Huu Le village and April 19 in Huu Tu, Nhan Hoa, Quynh Do, Ich Vinh, Sieu Quan villages.
In mid-April, at the compensation and site clearance support payment points serving the Olympic Sports Urban Area project in Hong Van commune, it took place in an urgent, methodical, and on schedule atmosphere.


This time, Hong Van commune made payments to 584 households, with a total recovered area of 229,566.7m2, total compensation and support costs up to more than 263.3 billion VND.
In which, Thuong Hien hamlet with 121 households receiving compensation and site clearance support, total disbursed expenses of more than 60.58 billion VND; Quang Trung hamlet 174 households, total disbursed expenses of more than 73.81 billion VND; Khe Hoi village 116 households, total disbursed expenses of more than 55.29 billion VND; hamlet 2, Bach Lien village and hamlet 5, Phuong Que village 173 households, total disbursed expenses of more than 73.61 billion VND.
Thanks to methodical work, synchronous coordination and high sense of responsibility, payment work in Hong Van commune took place smoothly, receiving high consensus among the people.
Ensuring maximum rights for people
In Thuong Tin commune, local authorities said that they have just organized a Conference to deploy the policy of land recovery to implement the investment project to build the Olympic sports urban area in the commune for representatives of more than 600 households and individuals in Dan Nhiem village.
At the conference, representatives of the Commune Investment - Infrastructure Management Board informed people about the unit price for compensation and support for site clearance and documents regulating site clearance when the State recovers agricultural land from households and individuals applied in 2026.
Many households raised some opinions and recommendations at the conference such as: Requesting the State to study raising the level of land recovery compensation; for the area of residential land being recovered, requesting the State to arrange resettlement places; requesting to maintain the original state of the village cemetery...

At the conference, the government received all opinions and proposals from the people to summarize and transfer to competent authorities for consideration and settlement according to regulations, as well as proposals to relevant levels and sectors.
Standing Vice Chairman of Thuong Tin Commune People's Committee Nguyen Van Tan affirmed that in the process of implementing land acquisition and site clearance, the Commune People's Committee always closely follows the provisions of current law and applies the decisions of the Hanoi City People's Committee, with the motto of protecting the highest rights and interests of the people when the State recovers land.
The entire process of compensation for land recovery and site clearance is carried out publicly and transparently, and is supervised by the people.
Started on December 19, 2025, the Olympic Sports Urban Area project has a scale of more than 9,171 hectares, with a total investment of about 925 trillion VND, spreading over 11 communes in Hanoi.
The project is planned into 4 zones with the goal of creating a sports urban area, a service urban area associated with an international-class sports complex, contributing to enhancing the position of Hanoi Capital on the continental and international sports and cultural map, creating sustainable development momentum for decades.
Trong Dong Stadium is considered the heart of the Sports Complex with a capacity of 135,000 seats meeting FIFA standards, expected to be completed in August 2028.
