Recently, Thanh Hoa club has submitted a complaint to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Complaints Resolution Board regarding the work and refereeing position in the match against Ho Chi Minh City in round 13 of V.League on February 14.
The document clearly stated: "Through the actual development of the match in 90 minutes and after carefully reviewing the video recording, Dong A Thanh Hoa club realized that there were some situations related to the way the match was conducted, losing the team's scoring opportunities, blocking the match, affecting the team's playing mentality".
Thanh Hoa pointed out that in the 20th, 25th, and 43rd minutes, HCMC players fouled Thanh Hoa players but the referee did not award a penalty. In particular, in the match where Dao Quoc Gia player committed a dangerous foul on ribamar but referee Le Vu Linh did not award a penalty, the head coach had an angry attitude that led to receiving a yellow card.
In addition, at the end of the first half, coach Popov received a second yellow card and was sent off. Technical director Hoang Thanh Tung also received a red card (2 yellow cards) for the same mistake.
The Thanh team said: "The coach is instructing and has an angry attitude towards his students, playing a bottle of water outside the stadium, but referee Le Vu Linh said that the coach has an attitude towards the referee so he should show a yellow card, which is unreasonable. This affected Thanh Hoa's direction in the next matches.
After coach Popov received a red card, technical analyst Hoang Thanh Tung presented the referee with a clearer situation, without harsh, vulgar words or excessive reactions, but referee Vu Linh showed the red card to the team's officer".
Some other situations are also mentioned in the document, such as the A Mit ball being determined to be offside before ribamar was knocked down in the penalty area (minute 65); the ball of Huy Toan of Ho Chi Minh City fell into an offside position before Manh Cuong scored the equalizer (minute 52).
Thanh Hoa requested the VFF Complaints Resolution Board to review the above situations and respond in writing to the club, including situations in which the referee is right or wrong; organize counter-offenses to clarify; provide the club with video of the above situations; provide evidence to prove that Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung had vulgar words with the referee; consider temporarily suspending or removing red cards for Mr. Popov and Mr. Hoang Thanh Tung; reconsider the referee status of Mr. Le Vu Linh; whether or not there are any negative signs...
