Pickleball is one of the "hot" sports in Vietnam in the past 2 years. Not only office workers or athlete lovers, this sport also attracts artists, celebrities and especially football players.
During the V.League break, many Vietnamese players took advantage of playing pickleball.
Recently, taking advantage of the "release" time, Que Ngoc Hai and his wife Duong Thuy Phuong went to the pickleball court to compete. The center-back born in 1993 has only begun to get acquainted with this sport, so he was guided and accompanied by his wife.
Besides, midfielder Pham Duc Huy is also a familiar face on the pickleball field. He often trains with his girlfriend Huyen Trang, seeing this as a health training activity combined with entertainment in everyday life.
At Hanoi club, players such as Van Quyet, Tuan Hai, Van Hoang, Hung Dung and their teammates occasionally organize exchange and entertainment matches but still bring a competitive spirit, helping players both exercise and relieve pressure after stressful hours of competition.
Not only stopping at "playing for fun", pickleball has also become a more serious choice for some players. Former defender Nguyen Quoc Long spends most of his time focusing on this sport.
On social networks, Quoc Long often shares images of pickleball practice and competition. After a period of getting acquainted and training, he participated in a amateur tournament and won an award, showing his ability to adapt quite quickly to the new sport.
Previously, during the time the Vietnamese team competed at the ASEAN Cup 2024, pickleball also appeared as an interesting entertainment activity for the players. Duy Manh, Khuat Van Khang, Tien Anh or Tien Linh took the opportunity to go to the field for pickleball in the stadium to exercise lightly and relax their spirits amidst a tight schedule of competition and training.
With its easy-to-play characteristics, moderate intensity and high connectivity, pickleball is gradually becoming a favorite choice of many Vietnamese players.
Not only is it a temporary trend, this sport also shows the potential to become a part of the sports and entertainment life of players after stressful training and competition hours.
