At the ASEAN Cup 2024, Xuan Son started playing for the Vietnamese team in the final match of the group stage against Myanmar. After 5 matches, the striker born in 1997 scored 7 goals and 2 assists, and received the titles of "Best Player" and "Top Scorer" of the tournament.
Unfortunately, in the second leg of the final match on Thailand's field, Xuan Son suffered a serious injury, had to undergo surgery and is currently undergoing treatment.
