In the 2024 ASEAN Cup championship of the Vietnamese team, the Nam Dinh Steel Club contributed 3 players: Nguyen Xuan Son, Nguyen Van Toan and Nguyen Van Vi. All 3 played hard and contributed greatly to the overall achievement of the team.
To recognize the contributions of the three players, Chairman Nguyen Van Thien of Nam Dinh Green Steel Club decided to reward Nguyen Van Toan 500 million VND, Nguyen Van Vi 500 million VND and Nguyen Xuan Son a luxury apartment in Hanoi.
“This is a very meaningful gift for me. I would like to sincerely thank President Nguyen Van Thien. When playing for the national team, the President always calls, encourages and instructs us to give our all. To us players, the President always considers us as family,” striker Nguyen Van Toan shared.
At the award ceremony, Xuan Son beamed with joy as he and his family received the house. He said: “I am very grateful to Mr. Thien and the Nam Dinh Steel Club for this gift. My family is truly happy. I am extremely lucky to have met Mr. Thien, who always takes care of me and my family. It is the Chairman's care and encouragement that has given me the motivation and explosiveness on the football field."
At the ASEAN Cup 2024, Xuan Son unfortunately suffered a broken leg in the final match in Thailand and had to take a long break. He was very touched to receive the attention of Vietnamese fans, government agencies, the Nam Dinh Steel Club and Mr. Thien.
