After 4 months of playing in Korea, on June 1, striker Nguyen Cong Phuong decided to part ways with Incheon United Club. Before leaving the club, Cong Phuong sent his thanks and shared about his upcoming plans.

On the morning of June 2, Incheon United Club announced that it had terminated the contract with striker Cong Phuong, right at the time this player left the team to go to Thailand with the Vietnam national team to participate in the 2019 King's Cup.
The reason given was that Cong Phuong wanted to continue the new challenge, when he received a 1-month probationary invitation in France, and the leadership of HAGL Club also confirmed the above information.
