This is a plan for U22 Vietnam to prepare for important tournaments including the 2025 U23 Southeast Asian Championship, the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games.
This list of players brings together 26 excellent young players from many domestic clubs, most of whom are players who have accompanied the team in previous gatherings and have been tested through many international matches and tournaments.
Typical faces such as goalkeeper Hoa Xuan Tin, Cao Van Binh, defenders Ho Van Cuong, Nguyen Duc Anh, midfielders Dinh Xuan Tien, Nguyen Van Truong, strikers Nguyen Quoc Viet, Nguyen Thanh Nhan...
Notably, this training session marks the first participation of overseas Vietnamese striker Bui Alex, a player playing for B Bohemians Praha 190 in the Third Division of the Czech Republic.
Bui Alex was born in 2005 in Praha (Czech Republic), is 1m78 tall and plays versatile as an attacking midfielder, winger and striker.
This player is considered to have good technique, speed, ball control and passing ability, and effective finishing with both feet.
Bui Alex has been a key striker for many consecutive years at youth teams in the Czech Republic and has scored 2 goals in the Third Division in 2025.
The addition of new factors such as Bui Alex will contribute to increasing the depth of the force, while affirming the strategy of proactively integrating and finding quality overseas Vietnamese players for Vietnamese football.
According to the plan, in this training session, the U22 Vietnam team will continue to maintain training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center to strengthen playing style, complete the squad, and be ready for important upcoming goals.
This is also a plan that the Vietnam Football Federation implemented very early for the Vietnam U22 team, with a methodical roadmap, synchronized with the national team during the FIFA Days.
