On May 22, the provincial Department of Health sent a document to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Health requesting administrative sanctions, recall and destruction of 2 batches of Hanayuki Shampoo and Hanayuki Sunscreen Body cosmetics.
The Department of Health determined 3 related violations including:
Producing cosmetics with formulas that are not in accordance with the cosmetic product declaration dossier (con preservatives 2- Phenxyethanol not included in the ingredients on the label);
Producing cosmetics that do not meet quality standards (hanayuki Sunscreen Body products have a sun protection index SPF of 2.4 lower than the sun protection index stated on the label (SPF 50) and the product Hanayuki Shampoo product that does not meet the quality requirements for infection limitation targets according to ASEAN harmonization regulations);
Cosmetic trading companies have product information records (PIF) but are not complete according to the provisions of law (lack of product label samples).
Previously, VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited in Ho Chi Minh City (with Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu as legal representative) signed a contract with EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (Giang Dien Industrial Park, Giang Dien Commune, Trang Bom District) to produce cosmetic products.
