U22 Vietnam ended the 33rd SEA Games memorable with the gold medal in men's football. Dinh Bac and his teammates had an impressive comeback 3-2 against host Thailand U22 in the final match.
With this achievement, coach Kim Sang-sik has created a special milestone for Vietnamese football by becoming the first coach to win all 3 titles including U23 Southeast Asia, ASEAN Cup and SEA Games.
Under the leadership of coach Kim Sang-sik, the Vietnamese teams showed disciplined play, a balance between defense and attack, while maintaining their mettle in decisive matches.
Before the SEA Games, the Korean strategist and Vietnamese football were crowned at the U23 Southeast Asian tournament and the ASEAN Cup, thereby completing a collection of regional titles that no previous coach had been able to do.
Mr. Kim Sang-sik's marks not only reflect his success in terms of achievements, but also show a new direction for Vietnamese football in coaching and using forces, especially at the youth team and national team levels.
