In the history of Vietnamese football, few coaches have made a strong and quick impression like Mr. Kim Sang-sik.

Coach Kim Sang-sik not only brought a disciplined and tight playing style but also created a clear impression of the effectiveness of the competition for the Vietnamese teams. Within just one year, he led national teams at all levels to win many important titles, setting a rare achievement in the history of Vietnamese football.

Coach Kim Sang-sik and the Vietnamese teams conquered three major titles including the ASEAN Cup championship, the Southeast Asian U23 championship and the SEA Games 33 gold medal.

These victories all took place away from home, demonstrating courage, careful preparation and the ability to organize effective tactics against direct competitors in the region.

The two coronations in Thailand in the most important tournaments in Southeast Asia affirmed Mr. Kim Sang-sik's leadership ability and the ability to control the competitive mentality. These achievements not only have professional significance but also contribute to strengthening the position of Vietnamese football in the region.

In addition to the titles, a stable performance and an unbeaten streak against Southeast Asian opponents are a notable highlight. Under the leadership of coach Kim Sang-sik, the Vietnamese teams at the national team, U23 and U22 levels all maintain high performance, disciplined play and clear organization.

At the national team level, coach Kim Sang-sik led 15 official matches with 13 wins, one draw and only one defeat against Iraq, the top team in Asia. In Southeast Asia, the Vietnamese team maintains an unbeaten record, showing stability and clear advantage in terms of expertise.

In the youth teams, U23 Vietnam won all seven matches, while U22 Vietnam won four consecutive victories. These figures reflect the effectiveness of scientific training methods, promoting tactical discipline and the ability to maximize the players' abilities.

Coach Kim Sang-sik is not the first Korean coach to make his mark in Vietnamese football. Previously, coach Park Hang-seo laid an important foundation with outstanding achievements such as winning the 2018 AFF Cup, reaching the quarter-finals of the 2019 Asian Cup and winning the SEA Games gold medal twice. In particular, at the 31st SEA Games, U23 Vietnam won the championship without conceding a goal, demonstrating solidity in organizing the defense.

Following that foundation, coach Kim Sang-sik has developed and elevated the achievements of Vietnamese football through a series of positive results in a short time. The inheritance of disciplined philosophy, collective spirit and scientific approach has created a seamless transition between the two training stages.

Not only bringing success in terms of titles, coach Kim Sang-sik also contributes to building trust and motivation for the younger generation of players. Regularly achieving favorable results in away matches shows effective psychological and tactical preparation, an important factor in the context of modern football.

In the process of integration and towards the goal of reaching the continental level, the role of coach Kim Sang-sik is considered an important factor, contributing to shaping a new development stage for Vietnamese football.

With the achievements he has achieved, coach Kim Sang-sik is considered one of the successful coaches of Vietnamese football in recent times, while creating a basis for fans to expect the next steps of the national teams.
