On December 17, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Training Course for Supervisors and Referees of Non-National Professional Football Tournaments.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha - Deputy General Secretary of VFF - shared: "First of all, I would like to congratulate the supervisors and referees who were summoned to attend the training course for the new season 2025. In the next 5 days, all supervisors and referees will receive useful knowledge and updated information from the Referee Board's lecturers. This is an opportunity for everyone to exchange and share experiences gained during the past season.
We also recommend that supervisors and referees attend the course seriously and fully participate in the program and lesson plans prepared for the 2025 season.
As the Head of the Organizing Committee of several tournaments, I understand the difficulties of the supervisors and referees in performing their tasks. Therefore, VFF always creates the best conditions for supervisors and referees to complete their tasks, contributing to the success of the tournament.
Let's join hands to implement VFF's criteria, which is to professionalize non-professional football tournaments, contributing to the development of Vietnamese football."
After the opening ceremony, 35 match supervisors, 12 referee supervisors and 45 referees and assistant referees will continue to carry out the contents of the plan.
Important contents such as plans to organize national non-professional tournaments, non-professional football regulations and updates on tournament regulations, experience in supervision and refereeing from the 2024 season and many discussion contents taken from real-life situations will be included in the training program by lecturers.
Previously, on the afternoon of December 16, VFF conducted a physical examination of the referee force participating in the training course on supervision and refereeing of national non-professional football tournaments in 2025. As a result, 100% of the referees completed this important content.
Immediately after the end of the training for supervisors and referees of non-professional national tournaments in 2025, qualified supervisors and referees will be assigned to work in non-professional national tournaments in 2025, the earliest of which is the qualifying round of the 2025 National U19 Championship, which will open on December 22 in the host localities.
