On her personal page, Nguyen Thi Huyen shared: "Every time I meet young athletes, their eyes are as bright as the early morning, Huyen feels like being Re-examined. They have courage, passion, desire and the spirit of not being afraid to challenge the things Huyen had, and is still trying to keep.
The further she went, Huyen understood that achievements were not the destination, but the journey to learn. Learn to be more patient, more humble, and know how to be happy when others step up. For sports, like life, it is not to give more than anyone, but to make each day a little better".
After retiring, the runner born in 1993 became an athletics coach at Ninh Binh Province Sports Center II. Thien Truong Stadium is a training location for Nguyen Thi Huyen and her students. Therefore, she often meets Xuan Son and the champions of V.League 2024-2025.
Previously, the SEA Games champion wanted to invite Xuan Son to compete when both of them practiced on the field. Nguyen Thi Huyen also joked: "Meeting a famous player, I thought I was meeting a colleague, because we were both running every day".
For Xuan Son, on October 11, he returned to play for about 15 minutes in the friendly match between Nam Dinh and PVF-CAND, marking a positive start in his journey to recover from injuries.
It is known that the team from Thanh Nam is planning to bring Xuan Son back to the list of registered players from the second leg of V.League 2025-2026. But in the beginning, Xuan Son will play step by step, only coming off the bench to ensure his physical recovery.
