2024 National Women's 7-a-side Football Championship Begins

The National 7-a-side Women's Football Championship will take place from November 9 to November 17 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.

On the afternoon of November 5, a press conference was held in Hanoi for the 7-a-side women's national football championship - Thien Khoi Cup 2024 (WVPL-S1).

VietFootball Joint Stock Company and its main sponsor - Thien Khoi Group, organized the tournament for the first time, with the hope of laying the foundation to gradually build a playground for women's football, while contributing to the development of 7-a-side football in Vietnam.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan - General Director of Vietfootball, Head of the tournament organizing committee shared: "WVPL-S1 will be the starting tournament to gradually open up the national 7-a-side football tournament system for women, like what has been built for men's football.

This is positioned as the top 7-a-side football playground for women, thereby spreading and developing the women's football movement in Vietnam, creating more playgrounds and income for female players, attracting the attention of the audience, the media and stronger social investment for women's football."

In the first season, the 2024 National Women's 7-a-side Football Championship brings together 8 strong teams from many provinces and cities, including: SV Su Pham; Kun Lady; Que Lua; Paint Khang Cat; Phu Dong Ben Tre, DNU; NEU; UPES1...

The tournament will take place from November 9 to November 17 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
