The Vietnamese national team will enter the important competition phase at the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 from September 23rd to October 6th. After that, the national team will continue to have FIFA Days from November 9th to 17th, with international friendly matches against China (China) and Kyrgyzstan.
On December 21, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will continue to gather domestically to prepare for the 2027 Asian Cup finals. On January 1, 2027, the Vietnamese team will go to Qatar for training, before playing a friendly match with the Qatari team on January 5 and moving to Saudi Arabia on January 7 to participate in the Asian Cup.

Meanwhile, U23 Vietnam has a tight schedule in September. The team will gather and depart for Japan on September 12 to attend ASIAD 20. Some members will move later on September 14 and September 15.
At this year's Congress, coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team will meet Kuwait U23 on September 15, Philippines on September 18 and Uzbekistan on September 22.
After ASIAD 20, U23 Vietnam continues to participate in the international friendly tournament in Gia Lai from November 9 to 17.
With the Vietnamese women's team, coach Hoang Van Phuc and his students have completed a training session in China, preparing to go to Japan to attend ASIAD from September 11 to October 3. By the end of the year, the team will continue to gather from December 27 to train and review the domestic force, then plan to train in China, from January 6, 2026 to January 15, 2027.

In youth teams, U19 Vietnam participates in the international football tournament in China from November 9 to 17.
U17 Vietnam starts training domestically from September 20 to prepare for the 2026 U17 World Cup finals.
The plan to attend a friendly tournament in Thailand in September was canceled because the organizing unit moved the venue to Spain, so VFF did not have time to complete visa procedures. The replacement plan is to train in West Asia (priority UAE) before going to Qatar to play in the World Cup from November 17 to December 23.

In addition, Vietnam U17 women's team has gathered domestically from August 15 to prepare for the AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers, then training in Japan from September 10 to 20 and competing in the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers in Vung Tau, from October 3 to 11.
U16 Vietnam gathers on September 12 to prepare for a friendly tournament, before going to China to play from October 22 to 30.
