Reason why Thanh Hoa Club is not allowed to postpone the match schedule of round 4 of V.League

AN NGUYÊN |

Thanh Hoa Club is not allowed to postpone the 4th round of V.League because their opponent is involved in the 2024-2025 National Cup.

According to the schedule of round 4 of V.League, Thanh Hoa club will have a trip to visit Binh Dinh at Quy Nhon stadium on October 4.

It is worth mentioning that the Thanh Hoa team has just gone through a busy travel and competition schedule (3 matches in 11 days). Therefore, head coach Velizar Popov expressed concern when the home team had to continue playing this weekend.

However, the organizers could not postpone the match between Thanh Hoa and Binh Dinh, because the Quy Nhon home team was involved in the 2024-2025 National Cup.

Accordingly, Binh Dinh club will compete in the National Cup qualifying round on October 20. If Thanh Hoa competes on the same day as Nam Dinh and Cong An Ha Noi (October 19), it will not ensure the minimum time requirement between the two matches for the team from the land of Vo.

Meanwhile, Nam Dinh is busy competing in the AFC Champions League Two on October 2 and cannot guarantee at least 4 days off before round 4 (on October 3 and 4). Therefore, the reigning V.League champions must postpone round 4 (hosting Song Lam Nghe An at home).

In addition, the match between Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police had to be postponed due to force majeure. From October 3 to October 10, Hang Day Stadium will host the international women's football tournament to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). These two teams do not have to compete in the National Cup qualifying round, so they will be scheduled to play on October 19.

The schedule for round 4 has been calculated to ensure regulations on time intervals between matches, sending notices of plans to clubs, and being approved by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation before being issued.
