On May 25, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor announced that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has just conducted a thematic supervision of labor relations at the unit.
The monitoring delegation was established by the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Department of Policy, Law and Labor Relations - headed the delegation.
At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha said that this is an activity within the 2025 program and plan of the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labor, to grasp the situation of trade union organization and activities in localities.
The monitoring content includes the thoughts, aspirations, difficulties, and recommendations of trade unions at all levels, cadres, union members, and workers; at the same time, surveys on jobs, wages, working conditions, and labor relations in enterprises in the area.
In particular, the monitoring delegation also focused on discovering new models, creative and effective ways of doing things of grassroots trade unions, especially in enterprises.
This is also an opportunity for the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to grasp the grassroots reality. From there, perfect the model of organization and operation of trade unions in accordance with the process of reorganizing the political system in the coming time," Ms. Ha emphasized.
Through supervision, the team recorded that the employment and income of workers were basically stable, with an average salary of about 8.15 million VND/person/month. Recently, there have been no recorded cases of collective labor disputes, collective work stoppages or illegal strikes.
The monitoring delegation suggested that Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor strengthen coordination with relevant departments and branches to find solutions to reduce the number of units and the amount of social insurance payment debts for employees.
At the same time, it is necessary to closely follow the grassroots, proactively deploy tasks to ensure security among workers, especially when legal documents related to the organization of workers in enterprises are issued.
On this occasion, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor also recommended that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor soon issue a specific document guiding the arrangement of the trade union system.
In particular, the end of the operation of grassroots trade unions under administrative agencies and public service units receives a salary of 100% from the State budget.
