On the morning of April 26, regarding the arbitration work in the match between Viettel and Song Lam Nghe An in the 20th round of V.League, the Nghe team sent Official Letter No. 57/CV.SLNA.2025 to the Vietnam Football Federation, the VFF Arbitration Board and the Organizing Committee.
The document emphasized: "To ensure fairness and objectivity in the refereeing of the tournament, regaining the trust of spectators nationwide as well as the audience of Song Lam Nghe An club, we suggest that the Vietnam Football Federation pay close attention and have timely instructions on the refereeing work and VAR technology currently applied.
Regarding the arbitration work and the controversial situations between Viettel and Song Lam Nghe An, the Lam Nghe An River Club suggested the Vietnam Football Federation Committee of the Vietnam Football Surgery with technical video recording and making a conclusion and adequate explanation to protect the honor of the referee, ensuring the prestige for the tournament ".
Previously, in the 51st minute of the match between The Cong Viettel and Song Lam Nghe An at Hang Day Stadium (September 25), from a corner kick by Ho Van Cuong, the away team's center back Le Van Thanh rushed in to finish into the home team's net.
However, the referee Nguyen Viet Duan received a signal from the assistants and did not recognize the goal. Accordingly, assistant Tran Van Hai (referee) waved the flag of the ball that went all the crossroads from Van Cuong's corner kick before Van Thanh put the ball into the net.
