The attractiveness of the Thai team at ASEAN Cup 2026 is becoming an issue of concern before the confrontation with the Vietnamese team. Instead of increasing ticket prices for the final match like VFF, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) continues to apply the price that has been reduced since the semi-finals compared to the group stage.
Accordingly, the first leg final between Thailand and Vietnam taking place on August 22nd at Rajamangala Stadium has the highest ticket price of 500 baht, equivalent to about 394,000 VND.
The 500 baht level is applied to areas with good locations for host audiences and away team fans' private areas. The remaining positions are priced at 200, 300 and 400 baht.
Compared to the group stage, each price has decreased by 100 baht, equivalent to about 80,000 VND. FAT started this policy from the semi-finals and did not change the price when the Thai team entered the final match.
The above move takes place in the context that the number of spectators watching the Thai team live is trending downwards. More than 16,000 people have appeared in the Rajamangala stands in the match against Malaysia. When Thailand faced Myanmar, the number of spectators decreased to more than 13,800 people. By the second leg semi-final with Singapore, the number continued to decrease, to just over 10,800.
FAT expects the meeting with Vietnam in the final to create a different effect and bring fans back to the stadium. Football Association President of Thailand Nualphan Lamsam and colleagues also mobilized fans to accompany the team.
Chanathip Songkrasin - one of the famous players of Thai football, also sent a message to fans: "Hello you, young players and coaching staff, I want to come and cheer for you. I want to thank everyone who sacrificed for the Thai national team.
Of course, football has both good and bad days. But on bad days, we still win and reach the final because you are capable and strong. I want everyone to look at the positive. We have reached the final.
On August 22, I want all fans to cheer for the Thai team together. I believe that it will be a good day and a victory. I want to hear Thai fans cheer and cheer for the national team to win. Let's cheer and support our national team together".
After the first leg final, the two teams will return to My Dinh to play the second leg on August 26.
