Striker Nguyen Tien Linh has just ended a successful year with the ASEAN Cup 2024 championship with the Vietnamese team. Tien Linh personally contributed 4 goals and 2 assists for the Vietnamese team in this tournament.
After winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup, striker Nguyen Tien Linh will continue to join Binh Duong club to participate in the remaining stages of the 2024-2025 National Cup and V.League 2024-2025.
Because he has to compete right before the Lunar New Year, Tien Linh said that he mainly plans to celebrate Tet with his family. The striker born in 1997 added that this year's Tet with his family will be more meaningful after winning the ASEAN Cup 2024 with the Vietnamese team.
"This year, my family and I will return to our hometown in Hai Duong to celebrate Tet with our grandparents to reminisce about the joys and sorrows of the past year. This year's Tet will be more special when the Vietnamese team wins the Southeast Asian championship. Not only my family but also the Vietnamese people are excited and happier when the team wins the championship," Tien Linh told Lao Dong.
With his impressive achievements, Tien Linh is considered to have a great chance of winning the Vietnam Golden Ball award. Tien Linh said that this is an award that any player wants to have.
"Every player wants to win the Golden Ball award once in their life. This award will mark a milestone for their efforts over the past year," Tien Linh shared.
Regarding expectations for the new year, Tien Linh said: "In the new year, I want to compete well with the national team in the Asian Cup qualifiers as well as with Binh Duong to achieve good results in the V.League and the National Cup."
