On May 29, midfielder Khuat Van Khang was named in the list of 10 most typical individuals of nearly 70,000 personnel worldwide at the Viettel’s Stars program.
This is an annual activity to honor collectives and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the overall development of the group in many different fields. The award for a football player shows the professional mark and influence of Khuat Van Khang in the Viettel ecosystem.
Mr. Khuat Van Dau - Khuat Van Khang's father shared: "I was extremely touched when my family was invited to the Group to witness the moment my son was honored. Since Khang was 10 years old and his parents took him to study football at Viettel's training center until now, I know happiness and sweet fruit are coming. My parents also received commemorative medals for Khang's success".
At the age of 23, Khuat Van Khang already has a remarkable record in the national team and The Cong Viettel club colors. He has twice won the U23 Southeast Asian Championship, won a gold medal at the SEA Games, won the ASEAN Cup 2024 and participated in many major tournaments such as the Asian Cup, ASIAD or World Cup qualifiers.
In 2025, the midfielder born in 2003 played more than 2,200 minutes in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and having 9 assists. At the ASEAN Cup in early 2025, Khang contributed 2 goals and 3 assists, including a good performance against Thailand in the final.
