Pre-match information
According to the match schedule, the Vietnam futsal team will face Hong Kong (China) in the opening match of Group E of the 2026 Asian qualifiers.
This is a relatively easy challenge for coach Diego Giustozzi and his team, because the opponent has expertise and a mid-range force in the region.
However, with the nature of the opening match, the Vietnam futsal team is always cautious and well prepared. In the recent training sessions, the players have focused on the opponent to practice techniques, tactics and analyze the opponent.
Coach Diego Giustozzi himself was also cautious. In the pre-match press conference, he said: "We had 3 weeks of training in Vietnam, then 10 days of training in Kuwait and China. I think the whole team has prepared well for this mission.
The upcoming group is full of challenges. There may be many different opinions about the level of the teams, but in my opinion, all three opponents are quality teams.
The coaching staff always tries to prepare the players with a strong mentality. I believe in my students, and as long as they are confident in themselves, we will have no problems to fear.
