On the morning of December 23, the Vietnamese team traveled from Phu Tho to Hanoi to catch a flight to Singapore to prepare for the first leg of the ASEAN Cup 2024 semi-final.
Despite the tight competition schedule, the team members still maintain good spirit and are determined to achieve good results in the upcoming important match.
After arriving in Singapore, the team will check in, settle in and rest before their first training session in the afternoon of the same day. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will have about 3 training sessions before the official match, which will take place on December 26.
Regarding the squad, the Vietnamese team will not have the service of striker Nguyen Van Toan due to a ligament injury sustained in the previous match against Myanmar. However, he will still go to Singapore with the team to receive care and treatment from the medical team.
The remaining players are still in good physical condition for the upcoming match. Notably, the appearance of striker Nguyen Xuan Son helps the Vietnamese team increase its strength significantly.
The match between Vietnam and Singapore will take place at Jalan Besar Stadium (capacity of about 6,000 seats).
Previously, on December 22, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) opened ticket sales for fans in this country and sold out in just 6 hours. According to Channel News Asia, Singapore fans lined up around Jalan Besar Stadium, some even slept overnight to hunt for tickets to watch the semi-finals.
The organizers have set three ticket prices: SGD 49 (VND 920,000), SGD 35 (VND 660,000) and SGD 24 (VND 450,000). Fans can only buy directly at the stadium to ensure fairness. Each person can only buy a maximum of 4 tickets per transaction.
For Vietnamese fans, the organizers only arranged about 300 seats with a ticket price of 38 SGD (about 713,000 VND). These tickets will only be sold on the day of the match (December 26). Vietnamese fans will buy at Jalan Besar Stadium from 3:00 p.m. (about 30 minutes) before the match starts.
