One of the most notable connections in 2024 is that the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks (KCNC&CKCN) in collaboration with the Da Nang City Labor Federation and Lao Dong Newspaper organized a series of events "Connecting Enterprises 2024".
Connecting hearts and minds
The highlight of the “Connecting Businesses - 2024” event series is the “Connecting Businesses - 2024” forum held on the afternoon of October 9 with the participation of nearly 400 businesses and investors inside and outside Da Nang city.
This is also an event of true “firsts” when for the first time, in front of nearly 400 businesses and investors, the leaders of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Park Management Board presented their operating model.
In particular, detailed information, policies and opportunities for businesses were announced for the first time about the Free Trade Zone being piloted in Da Nang under Resolution 136 of the National Assembly, along with specific policy mechanisms for Da Nang to once again transform.
There is a very interesting detail that although they have been working together for decades, this is the first time, at an official forum, Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Ha, Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, told businesses and investors in quite detail about the operating model and role of the trade union organization - especially the role of the trade union accompanying businesses in ensuring harmony in labor relations. Ms. Ha affirmed, "the trade union organization always accompanies, not opposes, confronts businesses".
On the side of the enterprises, although this is not the first time they have presented their opinions and suggestions in a straightforward and honest manner to the leaders of the Management Board of Da Nang Industrial Park and High-Tech Park.
But Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - Deputy Director of Daiwa Da Nang Co., Ltd. - shared: “Today, we have talked and discussed a lot about connection. However, I have a feeling that from now on, the connection between our business and the city government as well as the trade union organization will not only be a verbal or written connection but a strong, emotional connection from the heart and mind. And I believe that this connection will certainly bring unexpected results.”
Mr. Vu Quang Hung - Head of the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Park - commented that the series of events "Connecting Enterprises - 2024" organized for the first time was a memorable and emotional experience.

Coordinate smoothly
Connections, such as the “Business Connection - 2024” Forum, are widely communicated activities. However, the Management Board of Danang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones and the trade union have had many other effective connections in recent times, bringing many practical benefits to the business community and workers in the area.
This is clearly demonstrated through annual activities such as: providing financial support for workers in difficult circumstances; organizing "Union Buses" to bring workers in difficult circumstances and their families home for Tet; supporting businesses to implement "3 on-site" and many activities to care for union members and workers during peak periods of the COVID-19 pandemic; coordinating to organize propaganda and provide free legal advice to workers...
Mr. Vu Quang Hung - Head of the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Park - highly appreciated the results of the implementation of the tasks and the coordination program between the Trade Union and the Management Board in the recent period. "With only 5 civil servants, the Trade Union of the High-Tech Park has united and made efforts to coordinate with the Management Board to successfully complete the coordination tasks set out in recent years".
According to Mr. Hung, one of the most outstanding results of the cooperation between the two sides in recent times is the settlement of labor disputes and ensuring security and order inside and outside the enterprise.
“Thanks to timely information gathering and good coordination, many illegal strikes and collective work stoppages and collective labor disputes have been resolved, contributing to stabilizing the psychology and creating trust for employees and employers in state management,” said Mr. Hung.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Chairman of the Trade Union of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Park, said another highlight in the coordination work is that the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Park always proactively provides information on investment projects to support and create favorable conditions for trade unions in approaching and mobilizing workers to participate in trade unions and establish grassroots trade unions at enterprises.
“Information about the labor situation, project scale, business management of the employer, legal representative of the enterprise… greatly supports the trade union in directing the activities of the grassroots trade union to perform well the organization's tasks at each given time,” said Mr. Trung.
The close connection between the government, trade unions and enterprises not only brings practical benefits to workers but also creates a favorable and sustainable business environment for enterprises. This is an important foundation for building harmonious and progressive labor relations.
To achieve greater results, this connection needs to be expanded and maintained regularly, becoming a guideline for all activities to support businesses and workers in the period of integration and development.
