On January 30, the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union organized a summary of 2025, deployed tasks for 2026; thoroughly grasped the Resolution of the 5th Congress of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union.
According to Mr. Le An Hai - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union, in 2025, although facing many difficulties, especially the implementation of Resolution 18/NQ-TW in the work of rearranging the Trade Union organizational apparatus, union members and workers in the Industry and Trade sector always trust and closely follow the leadership and direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, promote the spirit of solidarity, firm psychology, and proactiveness in directing and operating; clearly define key and priority tasks to focus on directing and implementing many new and creative tasks, with many appropriate solutions, organizing activities and implementing tasks to achieve high results.
One of the outstanding activities is that grassroots trade unions and corporation and general corporation trade unions in the industry have successfully organized Congresses and Conferences to ensure the set progress. The entire industry has 468/468 grassroots trade unions successfully organizing Congresses and Conferences, reaching a rate of 100%, of which 360 grassroots trade unions organized Congresses, 108 grassroots trade unions organized Conferences...
During the year, Trade Union levels organized hundreds of propaganda sessions, disseminating laws, occupational safety and health, policies related to female workers such as: Labor Code, Gender Equality Law, Law on Domestic Violence Prevention, propaganda on reproductive health care, nutrition, disease prevention for women... attracting more than 136,612 thousand union members to participate. Organized for union members and workers to participate in studying to improve their qualifications and professional skills for nearly 96,600 thousand people...
From practical operations, the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union has proposals and recommendations. In which, it is proposed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade direct affiliated units to coordinate with trade unions at the same level to effectively implement welfare regimes (such as increasing meal allowances, rewards, allowances, working environment, in-depth health checks...) for union members and workers.
Organize regular direct dialogues (6 months/1 time) between Ministry leaders and union members and workers to resolve arising issues related to policies and regimes of workers...
In 2026, the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union will focus on performing well the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; Organize practical activities to care for the interests and welfare of union members and workers, especially during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026; promptly support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses, and injured in labor accidents...
