Petrovietnam Group Trade Union has more than 500 female officials working at all levels

Hanoi - Currently, Petrovietnam Group Trade Union has more than 500 female officials working at all levels, of which 100% are part-time.

On the afternoon of April 3, Petrovietnam Trade Union summarized 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 6b/NQ-BCH and Directive 03-CT-TLĐ on female workers (CNLĐ) and deployed key tasks for the Advancement of Women of the Group in 2026.

Attending were Mr. and Mrs.: Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Do Chi Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy General Director of the Group, Head of the Group's Women's Progress Committee and 200 delegates.

Currently, the Group's Trade Union has more than 500 officials working in women's affairs at all levels, of which 100% are part-time.

Reality shows that the Executive Committee and the Women's Union have completed their representative roles in caring for and launching movements among women in the past 15 years. Through women's union activities, female workers and laborers have participated in many training, fostering, and training soft skills activities through many rich and convenient forms.

In addition, organize good emulation movements: "Good at state affairs, good at housework" associated with the patriotic emulation movement of the Group, Trade Union and unit launched to contribute to improving labor productivity. The work of honoring and rewarding is in accordance with regulations, promptly creating motivation. The work of consolidating and improving the quality of activities of the Women's Affairs Committee continues to be concerned.

Some outstanding results of the implementation of Resolution 6b/NQ-BCH on mobilizing female workers and employees in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country are that 100% of units maintain good support regimes for women during maternity leave depending on the unit's expenditure (minimum 6 million VND/6 months). Some other incentives are committed in the Collective Labor Agreement: Monthly beauty care support money, specialized health check-ups for women...

The proportion of women in the Executive Committee of the Trade Union is 6/25 people, reaching 24%, in the Executive Committee of the Group's Youth Union is 8/25, reaching 32%, in the Executive Committee of the Group's Veterans' Association is 2/16 people, reaching 12.5%. This rate has increased compared to the previous term.

Regarding the implementation of Directive No. 03/CT-TLĐ dated August 18, 2010 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on continuing to promote the emulation movement "Good at work, good at housework" among female workers and employees, in the period 2010 - 2025, 68 collectives and 106 individuals were awarded the Flag and Certificate of Merit "Good at work - good at housework" by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, annually and in the period; 71 collectives were awarded the Petrovietnam Trade Union Flag; 699 collectives and 4440 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit at the Petrovietnam Trade Union level...

To best promote the role, creative spirit, and enthusiasm of the Women's Affairs Committee as well as female officials throughout the Group, since 2013, the Group's Trade Union has developed criteria and issued Guidelines for deploying the emulation movement "Teams, typical female officials annually" highly appreciated by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The movement has been maintained well and rewarded annually, creating important motivation, encouraging more than 500 female officials throughout the industry...

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong and Mr. Do Chi Thanh both highly appreciated the innovations in 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 6b/NQ-BCH and Directive 03-CT-TLĐ, thereby ensuring the rights and implementing gender equality for female CB CNVCLĐ.

Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong proposed that in the context of digital transformation and improving the quality of human resources, Petrovietnam Trade Union should continue to organize activities to care for and improve qualifications; discover and nurture bright examples; create conditions for women to participate in leadership work as well as continue to take care of national affairs and be good at housework.
