On the morning of March 8, the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a program to launch a writing contest about models, examples of good people and good deeds in the workers' movement; mobilizing union members to join hands to build Great Solidarity Houses and the 2026 Women's Workers' Day.
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Agencies, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), President of VGCL; Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of VGCL, Vice President of VGCL, along with city leaders, trade union levels and a large number of union members and workers.

At the program, the Da Nang City Labor Federation launched a writing contest about models and examples of good people and good deeds in the workers' movement; and at the same time mobilized union members to join hands in building 10 Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Phuoc Tra commune with a total budget of 1.25 billion VND.
On this occasion, the Trade Union organization also awarded 20 Trade Union Warm Houses to union members with housing difficulties and presented 200 gifts to female union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Many exciting activities such as ao dai performances and the "Golden Bell Ringing" contest were also organized, creating an atmosphere of exchange and improving the spiritual life of female workers.


Speaking at the program, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor sent congratulations to female trade union officials, female union members and workers on International Women's Day 8. 3. He acknowledged the important contributions of female workers to the development of businesses and localities.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu requested Da Nang Trade Union levels to continue to pay attention and take better care of female union members, promote emulation movements among female workers; and at the same time pay attention to maintaining close relationships with businesses and workers in remote and newly merged areas, to promptly grasp the thoughts and provide practical support to workers.

In addition, leaders of the VGCL also proposed that trade union organizations at all levels strengthen propaganda and mobilize union members and workers to well exercise their rights and citizens' obligations, and actively participate in the election of National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels on March 15.
Participating in the festival, many female workers expressed their emotion at the concern of the Trade Union organization. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung, a worker working at Tam Thang Industrial Park, said that activities such as giving gifts, housing support or organizing festivals have added motivation for workers.


“We work in the factory all year round, so we are very happy to participate in exchange activities, being cared for and supported by the Trade Union organization. This is a great source of encouragement for workers to feel secure in working and sticking with the business for a long time,” Ms. Nhung shared.
According to the Da Nang City Labor Federation, the activities in the 2026 Female Workers' Day not only honor the role of female union members but also contribute to spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual affection in the workers' movement, towards building an increasingly strong working class.
