The conference was organized in a direct form combined with online form with more than 100 bridge points throughout the VNR Group.
Attending the conference at the Hanoi bridge point were Mr. Uong Quang Huy, Vice Chairman of the EVN Trade Union; leaders of professional departments of the EVN Trade Union and Chairmen of Trade Unions of affiliated units working at the EVN Building headquarters.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Uong Quang Huy said that, implementing Resolution No. 13/NQ-ĐCT dated May 25, 2026 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour on supporting union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases and Guidance No. 32/HD-TLĐ dated May 25, 2026 on implementing the Program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress", the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has urgently deployed to affiliated trade union levels.
According to Mr. Uong Quang Huy, this is an activity with profound humanistic meaning, showing the responsibility, feelings and concern of the Trade Union organization for union members and workers who unfortunately suffer from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases. The gifts, although not large in material terms, contain timely sharing and encouragement, helping workers have more strength to overcome difficulties and continue to rise up in life.
The program is also a practical activity to celebrate the success of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031; concretizing the action motto of the Trade Union organization to always focus on grassroots levels, taking union members and workers as the center of all activities.
For the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, the VGCL assigned a target of supporting 1,001 union members and workers. In which, it is expected that 740 cases will be supported at a level of 2 million VND/person for people with dangerous diseases and occupational diseases in difficult circumstances and 261 cases will be supported at a level of 1 million VND/person for people with dangerous diseases and occupational diseases.
To ensure that the program is implemented effectively, for the right purpose and reaches the right beneficiaries, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has requested grassroots trade unions to urgently review, make lists, and complete dossiers according to regulations; and at the same time ensure publicity and transparency in the selection process.
The program is implemented in 3 phases, of which phase 1 will be completed before June 5, 2026; phase 2 will be completed before June 15, 2026 and phase 3 will be completed before June 20, 2026.
Assessing the initial results, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Uong Quang Huy acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility and proactiveness of the units in implementing the program. At the end of phase 1, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union completed dossiers requesting the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to support 160 cases, including 145 people eligible for support at a level of 2 million VND/person and 15 people eligible for support at a level of 1 million VND/person.
The Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union requested units to continue to seriously implement the guiding contents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; carefully review beneficiaries, ensure not to miss truly difficult cases, and at the same time not to let situations of duplication, abuse or policy profiteering occur. In addition, units need to pay attention to the work of personal information security of union members and employees; complete complete dossiers and procedures according to regulations and ensure the progress and time of each implementation phase.
Through the program, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union also requested trade union levels to continue to pay more attention to occupational safety and health, improve working conditions and take care of workers' health; proactively prevent labor accidents and occupational diseases, contributing to building a safe, civilized and sustainable working environment.

Thereby continuing to spread the good humanistic values of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, so that each union member and worker can feel the companionship and care of the Trade Union organization on the journey of labor, dedication and building the country" - Mr. Uong Quang Huy, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, said at the meeting.
